PRODUCTThermabronze windows, Heritage window and Timber doors with bronze inserts
ARCHITECT / CONTRACTORClient project
ABOUT PROJECTThis property was left to rack and ruin and was practically a shell before being renovated into the sweet family home that exists today.
Simple timber sub-frames have been fitted into the brick and stone reveals to accept bronze casements, and to accommodate trickle ventilation as an alternative to including it within the bronze window. Several sets of stone coloured timber doors with bronze inserts are also incorporated into the renovation along with a quirky little silicone pointed shaped window using the Heritage system.
The project also includes a Vale orangery to the rear, which, along with a bank of bronze windows illuminating the kitchen, commands striking views across a beautiful multi terraced walled garden.
Fixed window panels sitting within mullioned stone frames are decorated with a traditional diamond leadlight design, an exact copy of the few decaying Victorian panes that still existed.
A great marriage not only between old and new, but sister companies Vale Garden Houses and Architectural Bronze created a sympathetic and characterful restoration with all the mod cons of a new build.
